Take a big group of fashionistas and sprinkle in some politicians and reporters and you’ll get something a lot like FutureFashionLA, an event sponsored by the CFDA and Designers & Agents held at LA Mayor Antionio Villaraigosa’s official residence. The event focused on environmental design and showcased designers like Debra Linquist, Erica Tanov, Imitation of Christ, Rozae Nichols, Trina Turk and Trovata who each made custom looks with materials donated by Earth Pledge. Check out Stewart+Brown’s yak down shrug and mittens displayed along with a hemp silk smock dress. Bag and Bundle

Shown:
Windy Heart Crescent Bag // Clover Purse Tote
Bundle up some fun with these buttoning bags. Each style is printed with original artwork inspired by Karen’s trip to the seaside villages of Portugal. They’re constructed with durability in mind and made from a surplus cotton and hemp blend. Surplus fabrics are perfectly sustainable since they reuse scrap fabrics left over from larger production runs and since they’re lined with an organic cotton, these bags give you even more bang for your buck.

Cashmere Mesh Eyelet Tank Dress
Attention all Green Girls! There’s a place you can go to get some tips on how to live a perfectly hip and realistic eco-lifestyle called the ecostiletto.com (formerly greengirlguide.com). These lovely ladies scour the globe for the hottest environmentally and/or socially conscious people, places and things in Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle and recently proclaimed their love for Stewart+Brown’s “line of whisper-thin cashmere sweaters and dresses made from Mongolian cashmere cultivated by traditional nomadic herders who laugh in the face of over-production.” Thanks girls, we couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
