Anatomy of our 4th of July

With fireworks, barbecues and wildfires galore this 4th of July was definitely not short on excitement. We pulled together a few of our favorite pictures to show all kinds of patriotic celebration from the funky Venice beach all the way up to sunny (and smokey) Santa Barbara. Check ‘em out.

It felt a little weird celebrating with a huge fire looming behind the scenes but if there’s one thing we Americans are good at it, it’s being able to make the best of the situation. On with the show…

After much deliberation, we decided the best way to get the HUGE avocados out of the tree would be to get on the balcony and whack ‘em with the flag.

Down in Ventura, the streets we decked out with kids, dogs and decorations in red white and blue.

The scene in Venice beach was, err, Venice Beach-ish. What are the chances that bikini shirt is organic?
