A Halloween Postmortem
Wednesday, November 12th, 2008
Creepy crawlies may be giving way to turkeys for the time being but we’d like to take this moment to relish in our past Halloween. There was pumpkin carving, costumes and candy all around. A very special mention to Carol who definitely won the in-office costume contest with her portrayal of a treehugger. Check out the photos here.

I Can’t Believe it’s Hemp Jersey
Wednesday, November 12th, 2008
Shown:
Twist Skirt // Twist Dress
This Fall we introduced a brand new fabrication so soft and cozy you would never believe it’s made almost entirely from hemp. These carefree knits are designed with simplistic sophistication with details like doubled merrow edges and chic twisting skirts. Hemp, for those new to the green scene, could be the greenest fiber on the market. It grows with barely any water, doesn’t require insecticides or defoliants and every part of the plant is used in one way or another. Our hemp knits are as far from scratchy and have a form flattering stretch and drape. Check out all the hemp pieces from our Fall collection and some Thanksgiving ready outfits right here.

Stewart+Brown in An Eye For Color
Wednesday, November 12th, 2008
Here at Stewart+Brown we pride ourselves on the fact that we’re owned and operated by a bunch of college art majors. Karen’s roots lie in painting and Howard’s in graphic design. Recently, a designers handbook entitled “An Eye For Color” picked up some old Stewart+Brown graphics and sketches for a book aimed to help designers create interesting color pallets. Check out the book and the original sketched they chose right here.

Sweden’s Glaze Magazine
Wednesday, November 12th, 2008
Shown:
Lengthened Tee
There are so many things to say about our most recent feature in Sweden’s “Glaze” magazine. First, after consulting Google translate, I’m relieved to learn that “Sex Barn” translates to “Six Children” in English – phew! Second, I’m very happy to note that cheerful Swedish wood nymphs photograph best in pieces from Stewart+Brown’s Fall collection. See all the photos here.
