Juniper in Seattle, Washington (Madrona to be exact) offers the promise of timeless looks as well as a chance to meet a new kitten. Shop owner Lisa Clinton believes that less is more and styles the shop with a hip, minimalistic touch. When asked to describe her store, Lisa says, “Juniper offers a carefully selected mix of items in the shop. Mostly clothing with a few homewares and a little jewelry. The focus is on quality over quantity and I prefer to offer fewer items to make it easy to see each piece and appreciate the fabric, design and construction. I am drawn to designers who are conscious of the whole process of their design. The beauty of design includes all aspects of it: who is making it, how it is made and the longevity both in construction and style.”

Here’s a few shots from around the store. Juniper currently carries a great selection of our favorite spring pima knit and tissue cotton pieces in a range of bright colors. The looks they can’t live without are the lengthened tee and now the 1/2 lengthened tee too!

To quote Lisa again, “One of the other unique aspects to Juniper is that when you are there you might meet a cat! Juniper fosters a cat from the Seattle Animal Shelter and has found homes for 9 cats so far. The foster cat at Juniper is a nice reason for customers to stop in just to say hi even if they aren’t shopping. There are a lot of children in the neighborhood and visiting the Juniper foster cat has become part of their routine when out and about! When creating Juniper I wanted to have a space that people felt comfortable in whether they were just popping in to say hi, hanging out, browsing or shopping!”

So pop in to Juniper, say hi to the kitty and hang out at
