S+B loves the mountains and loves places that we call home. Recent add-on S+B intern, Jennifer Steinwurtzel flew back “home” to Park City where she joined forces with her mother to host the first Park City Trunk Show. The crowd ranged from yoga aficionados to inspiring humanitarians. But all had one common interest – a love of clothing, and even more so a love of sustainable clothing. The setting was perfect looking out over the picturesque Wasatch mountain range that make up Park City’s world class ski resorts. Hot items were of course our luxurious and wearable cashmere collectionas well as the merino sweater coats.

Peasant Cap // Garden Tunic
Although the show was in PC, it was anything but PC when there were three women debating who could take home the cashmere peasant cap. In the end, two ordered them and one went home wearing cashmere in August! All were happy and dare I say eager for winter to wear the new goods?

Organic chef, nutritionist and caterer, Kari Moe Hoffman helped dine the attending with an array of snacks including roasted red peppers in a balsamic reduction and organic chocolate fudge brownies.

Lace Blanket Wrap
Sustainable and organic wines complimented the cozy afternoon as women “oohed” and “ahhed” taking turns trying on cashmere shrugs, hemp jersey dresses and longtime favorite organic cotton pima tees.

Garden Tunic
Park City is a small mountain town community where localism is highly supported and neighbors know one another by name or by their dog’s name. There is a large growing number of people committed to the sustainable movement bringing new businesses and awareness to a town that relies on sustainable practices for its future success.
